Annie L. Gaster was born and raised in Waukee, Iowa where she gained a deep appreciation for family, music and art. She began drawing at a very young age and carried her interest in art into her high school years at Waukee High School.  She was fortunate enough to have an amazing high school teacher that encouraged her to take the next step toward a college education. Annie received her formal Fine Arts education at the University of Northern Iowa where she studied art education and painting.  She graduated in May of 2002 where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education.

Annie creates all of her paintings and art works out of her home studio in Des Moines, Iowa. She is also available for commissioned custom paintings to those who have certain preferences of color or textures. Annie's original works include acrylic paintings on canvas of all different sizes, colors and textures.  She also enjoys painting figurative forms. Since graduating, Annie has worked at maintaining a gallery in her at-home studio exhibiting her acrylic paintings and drawings.

In addition to creating custom artwork and displaying her work in local art exhibits, Annie is the wife of Chris and the mother of two sons, Jonas and Jude.
